Islamabad: Security forces have successfully neutralized four militants in two separate operations in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) region, significantly impacting militant activities in the area. The operations targeted militant hideouts in the Bannu and North Waziristan districts.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation occurred in the Janikhel area of Bannu District, where an intelligence-based effort led to a fierce exchange of fire and the elimination of two militants. A subsequent operation in the Hassan Khel area of North Waziristan resulted in two more militants being neutralized earlier today. The forces recovered weapons and ammunition from the militants, who were involved in terrorist attacks against security personnel and civilians, including targeted killings and abductions.
The security forces are currently conducting sanitization operations in these areas to ensure the elimination of any remaining threats, reaffirming their commitment to eradicate terrorism from the country.
