Security Forces Neutralize 23 Terrorists in Multiple Operations Across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa


Islamabad, In a series of decisive counter-terrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistani security forces eliminated twenty-three terrorists in three separate engagements, underscoring the ongoing efforts to stabilize the region and combat insurgency.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, an intelligence-based operation in the Hassan Khel area of Peshawar District on Sunday led to the neutralization of six terrorists. This operation also resulted in the heroic sacrifice of Captain Hussain Jehangir and Havildar Shafiq Ullah. The security forces were able to destroy multiple terrorist hideouts during the operation.



Further action in Tank District today saw security personnel engaging and killing ten terrorists at a known location. Meanwhile, in the Bagh area of Khyber District, a fierce exchange of fire resulted in the deaths of seven terrorists and injuries to two others. The operation also tragically claimed the lives of five brave soldiers, including Naik Muhammad Ashfaq Butt, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar, Sepoy Taimoor Malik, Sepoy Nadir Sagheer, and Sepoy Muhammad Yasin.



These operations led to the recovery of a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the deceased terrorists, who were implicated in numerous attacks against both security forces and civilians.



The ISPR stated that sanitization operations continue in these areas to root out any remaining threats, with security forces committed to eradicating the menace of terrorism from Pakistan. The sacrifices of the soldiers have further galvanized the nation’s resolve to fight terrorism.
