Security Forces Neutralize 23 Terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Operations

Islamabad, In a series of decisive counter-terrorism operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistani security forces eliminated twenty-three terrorists across three separate encounters. The operations, which took place over the weekend, also resulted in the martyrdom of several soldiers, underscoring the ongoing conflict in the region.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the first operation occurred on May 26 in Hassan Khel area of Peshawar District, where security forces neutralized six terrorists and dismantled multiple hideouts. This operation saw the tragic loss of Captain Hussain Jehangir and Havildar Shafiq Ullah.

On May 27, in Tank District, an engagement with terrorists led to ten terrorists being killed as security forces targeted their location effectively.

The third confrontation took place in the Bagh area of Khyber District, resulting in the deaths of seven terrorists, with two additional terrorists wounded. The intense exchange of fire during this operation claimed the lives of five brave soldiers: Naik Muhammad Ashfaq Butt, Lance Naik Syed Danish Afkar, Sepoy Taimoor Malik, Sepoy Nadir Sageer, and Sepoy Muhammad Yasin.

Security forces recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the terrorists, who were implicated in various attacks on both security personnel and civilians. Ongoing sanitization efforts aim to clear the area of any remaining threats, with a firm commitment from the military to eradicate terrorism from Pakistan.
