Dera Ismail Khan, In a series of operations against terrorism, Pakistani security forces have neutralized twenty-seven terrorists in Dera Ismail Khan. These operations are part of ongoing efforts to combat terrorist activities in the region.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) detailed that an intelligence-based operation was conducted in the Darazinda area, where a terrorist hideout was discovered and seventeen terrorists were eliminated. In a separate operation in the Kulachi area, security forces engaged another terrorist location, resulting in the neutralization of four terrorists. Unfortunately, during this intense exchange of fire, two Pakistani soldiers bravely sacrificed their lives.
The deceased terrorists were involved in numerous attacks against security forces and civilians. The operations also led to the recovery of a significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosives.
In a separate incident early today, a group of six terrorists attacked a security forces’ post in the Daraban area. The security forces successfully repelled the attackers, who then detonated an explosive-laden vehicle at the post, followed by a suicide bombing. The blasts caused the building to collapse, tragically resulting in the death of twenty-three soldiers. All six attackers were engaged by the forces and eliminated.
Sanitization operations are ongoing in the area to ensure the elimination of any remaining terrorists. These efforts by the Pakistani security forces underscore their commitment to eradicating terrorism from the country.
