Security Forces Foil Infiltration Attempt in North Waziristan

Hassan Khel: Security forces thwarted a significant infiltration attempt by a group of terrorists during the night between April 5 and 6 in Hassan Khel, North Waziristan district. According to official sources, a group of militants, identified as khawarij, attempted to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border.

The movement of the militants was detected by vigilant Pakistani forces, who responded promptly. An intense exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the neutralization of eight terrorists and injuries to four others.

This operation underscores Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to protecting its borders and eliminating terrorist threats. A sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure the complete clearance of any remaining threats in the area.

Pakistan has consistently urged the interim Afghan government to strengthen border management and prevent the use of Afghan territory for launching terrorist attacks against Pakistan. Afghan authorities are expected to honor their commitments and take steps to deny safe havens to such elements.

Security forces have reiterated their resolve to ensure national security and continue their efforts to root out terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
