Peshawar: Security forces have neutralized six Khwarij in two distinct operations in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, as reported by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. These operations, carried out in South Waziristan district, targeted insurgents attempting infiltration and those already within the district boundaries.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the first operation took place in Dosali where forces engaged a location known to house Khawarij, leading to the elimination of an individual identified as Ahmed Shah, also known as Intizar. The second operation occurred in Khamrang where security personnel intercepted a group attempting to cross the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, resulting in five Khwarij killed and three injured. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to thwart infiltration and secure the nation’s borders.
The Pakistani government has repeatedly called on the interim Afghan Government to enhance border management to prevent such cross-border terrorism. Expectations remain high for the Afghan authorities to prevent their soil from being used as a base for terrorist activities targeting Pakistan. Meanwhile, Pakistan’s security forces remain committed to defending the country’s borders and eradicating terrorism.
