Islamabad: In a significant crackdown on terrorism, security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa conducted two separate operations today, resulting in the elimination of nine terrorists, including two commanders.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) detailed that an intelligence-led operation in the Khyber District successfully targeted seven terrorists, including notable commanders named Najeeb and Ishfaq. These individuals were implicated in various terrorist activities and were high-priority targets for law enforcement agencies.
Weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the deceased terrorists, underscoring the threat they posed. A subsequent operation in Lakki Marwat furthered the day’s successes, with security forces engaging and eliminating two additional terrorists at a known hostile location.
Ongoing sanitization efforts are in place to secure the areas and prevent further terrorist activities, reflecting the security forces’ commitment to eradicating terrorism from Pakistan.
