Security Forces Eliminate High-Profile Daesh Commander in Khyber District


Peshawar, In a significant counter-terrorism operation, Pakistani security forces neutralized a high-profile terrorist in the Khyber District on Sunday. The operation, based on precise intelligence, targeted Surat Gul, also known as Saif Ullah, a notorious commander of the Daesh terrorist organization.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the operation was initiated following credible intelligence about the presence of Saif Ullah in the area. The confrontation led to an intense exchange of fire, resulting in the elimination of the terrorist. The security forces also seized weapons, ammunition, and explosives from the deceased commander, who was implicated in numerous terrorist activities, including the target killing of innocent civilians and extortion.



The ISPR detailed that a sanitization operation is currently underway to ensure the area is cleared of any remaining terrorist threats. This initiative underscores the security forces’ commitment to eradicating terrorism from the region and restoring peace and stability.
