Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Security forces in Pakistan have killed fifteen militants in a series of operations across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, according to a press release from Inter Services Public Relations.
The operations unfolded over two days, targeting locations in Karak, North Waziristan, and South Waziristan Districts. In Karak District, intelligence reports led to a successful engagement where eight militants were neutralized.
In North Waziristan, security forces encountered intense resistance. During this operation, four militants were killed. However, the exchange of fire resulted in the loss of two soldiers, Lance Naik Usman Mohmand, 28, from Charsadda, and Sepoy Imran Khan, 26, from Kurram, who were both killed in action.
Another encounter in the Gomal Zam area of South Waziristan led to the elimination of three militants. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from all three sites.
Security forces have initiated sanitization operations in the areas targeted, aiming to clear any remaining militant presence. The operations underline Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to combating terrorism, bolstered by the sacrifices of its soldiers.
