Security Forces Detain Extremists, Seize Weapons in Pishin Operation


Pishin: Pakistani security forces conducted a successful operation in District Pishin, resulting in the arrest of five extremists and the seizure of a significant cache of weapons and explosives.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the operation on October 18 was based on intelligence about the presence of Khwarij members, a term used to describe militant extremists. The forces captured five individuals who were involved in multiple terrorist activities and were allegedly planning further attacks against security personnel and civilians. The cache recovered included three suicide vests among other weaponry and ammunition, highlighting the potential threat posed by the apprehended individuals.



Additionally, in a related operation in District Zhob on October 17, security forces engaged in a firefight that resulted in the death of two extremists. The subsequent area sanitization led to the recovery of more weapons and ammunition. These operations underscore the ongoing efforts by Pakistani security forces to combat terrorism and protect civilians across the nation.
