ISLAMABAD: Security forces in Pakistan have killed twelve militants linked to Indian proxies, Fitna Al Khwarij and the Baloch Liberation Front, in a series of operations across the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan regions, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In the Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, security personnel, acting on intelligence, engaged and killed five militants associated with the Indian-backed group Khwarij.

Further operations in the Bannu district resulted in the deaths of two additional Khwarij militants, who were also reportedly sponsored by Indian entities.

In North Waziristan’s Mir Ali area, two militants were killed after they launched an attack on a security forces convoy. The exchange of fire tragically resulted in the deaths of two Pakistani soldiers, identified as Sepoy Farhad Ali Turi and Lance Naik Sabir.

In Balochistan, security forces conducted operations resulting in the deaths of three militants from the Baloch Liberation Front, also noted as Indian proxies.

In the Awaran district’s Gishkur area, troops killed a militant named Younas and injured two others.

In a separate engagement in Turbat, Kech District, two militants, including a ringleader identified as Sabr Ullah, were neutralized.
