Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Punjab Reviewed the Daily Activities of Covid-19

Lahore, July 06, 2021 (PPI-OT):Secretary, Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Punjab Sarah Aslam reviewed daily activities of COVID-19 across the Punjab. Province witnessed a gradual decrease in COVID-19 infection rate. Yesterday 146 new cases have been reported, bringing the total number of cases to 346,728. Until now 327,753 patients have fully recovered across the province while the number of active cases is 8،203.

Yesterday 17,406 test samples were taken while a total of 5,708,442 tests have been taken so far. In the previous 24 hours, the corona virus caused 5 more deaths across the province, including 2 deaths in Lahore, bringing the total number of deaths to 10,772. Last day 70 cases were reported in Lahore, 38 in Rawalpindi, 6 in Multan, 4 in Gujranwala, 4 in Sialkot, 3 in Rahim Yar Khan, 3 in Sargodha, 2 in Faisalabad, 2 in Mianwali, 1 in Bahawalnagar, 1 in Bahawalpur, 1 in Chakwal, 1 in Gujrat, 1 in Hafizabad. 1 in Khanewal, 1 in Khushab, 1 in Mandi Bahauddin, 1 in Muzafargarh,1 in Narwal and 1 in Sheikhupura.

Yesterday, the average positivity ratio of COVID-19 was 0.8 in all the cities across the province. The provincial capital Lahore recorded a positivity ratio of 1.6, 0.2 in Faisalabad, 0.8 in Multan and 0.4 in Sargodha. In this regard Secretary P and SH Sarah Aslam said that Vaccines for COVID-19 are available in abundance at all the centers, so all citizens over the age of 18 must be vaccinated against the corona virus.
