Secretary Population Welfare Chairs Meeting to Review Progress on ADP Schemes

Lahore, October 24, 2022 (PPI-OT):Secretary Population Welfare Salman Ijaz presided a meeting on Friday to review progress on Annual Development Plan for the fiscal year 2022-23 at the Committee Room of Secretariat. The Secretary reviewed progress on ADP schemes with a focus on timely completion of projects to achieve the set targets.

The Director General Saman Rai gave a detailed briefing on current status of ongoing, new and planned schemes of the department. The details of budget releases and expenditure were also briefed to the Secretary in the meeting. The Directors and Deputy Directors of Population Welfare Department shared in-depth working on their respective components in the ADP schemes while seeking advice regarding bottlenecks and challenges from the Chair.

The chair directed to complete all ADP schemes in time to ensure optimum utilization of resources while enabling the people to benefit from the development schemes. He directed that population welfare projects across Punjab should be completed without any delay by accelerating the pace of work. Secretary Salman Ijaz directed all officials to closely monitor and track working on all ADP schemes and hold regular meetings for sharing progress.

The meeting was attended by Director General Population Welfare Ms. Saman Rai, Additional Secretary A and F Talha Hussain Faisal, Additional Secretary Technical Dr. Nyla Altaf, Director TR and P Mrs. Noor Afshan, Director A and F Shahid Nusrat, Director PME Dr. Zubida Riaz, Additional Director M and E Mrs. Bushra Naveed, Deputy Director IEC Muhammad Akhtar Bhatti and other senior officers of the department.
