SECP and QESCO Collaborate to Educate Quetta’s Major Power Consumers on Business Formalization

Quetta: The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), in partnership with the Quetta Electric Supply Company Limited (QESCO), conducted an awareness session for large industrial and commercial electricity consumers at the Quetta Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event aimed to enhance understanding of business formalization benefits.

The session featured a virtual address by SECP Executive Director Ali Azeem Ikram, who welcomed participants and reiterated the organization’s dedication to promoting business formalization and easing business operations in Pakistan. SECP’s Incharge Business Center presented an overview of the commission’s regulatory functions and the digital company incorporation process through the eZfile portal.

Participants received detailed information on user registration, local company incorporation, necessary documentation, various business structures, and the advantages of formal business incorporation. The interactive nature of the session allowed attendees to seek clarifications on regulatory and procedural issues, encouraging a collaborative dialogue.

The session also highlighted SECP’s achievements in facilitating company registration and noted a positive trend in business incorporations over the past five years. Key initiatives aimed at simplifying processes and improving service delivery were also discussed. The event concluded with a constructive exchange of ideas and feedback.
