Islamabad: The second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) has commenced, featuring the introduction of five new economic corridors facilitated by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal detailed that these new corridors are part of the broader strategy under CPEC Phase II. The corridors—Innovation Corridor, Livelihood Corridor, Green Energy Corridor, Regional Development Corridor, and Employment Creation Corridor—are designed to enhance various sectors of Pakistan’s economy in alignment with the nation’s ‘5Es framework’.
The government remains committed to collaborating closely with China to advance these initiatives, aiming to boost economic growth and development through strategic infrastructural and industrial projects.
