SCO Summit Concludes in Astana with Outcome Document Signed by Member States

Astana: The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit concluded today with all heads of member states, including Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, signing a significant outcome document. The summit, held in Astana, brought together leaders from the organization’s member countries to solidify cooperation and address regional and global issues.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, alongside the summit proceedings, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif engaged in bilateral meetings with several global leaders, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon, Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov, and Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko. These discussions focused on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring areas of mutual interest, further emphasizing the collaborative spirit of the SCO.

The outcome document, details of which are yet to be fully disclosed, is expected to outline the collective commitments and strategic directions for the SCO member states moving forward, addressing key issues such as security, economic cooperation, and cultural exchanges.
