Islamabad: The Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), Nurlan Yermekbayev, arrives in Islamabad today for a two-day visit aimed at enhancing regional cooperation. His visit comes at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
During his stay, Yermekbayev will hold discussions with key Pakistani officials, including the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Commerce and Foreign Secretary. The meetings are expected to focus on advancing mutual security and economic objectives.
Yermekbayev is also scheduled to deliver a speech at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad. Additionally, he will engage with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and media representatives to further explore areas of collaboration.
The visit marks an important opportunity for Pakistan to engage with the SCO Secretariat, reinforcing its commitment to shared regional goals. The discussions are anticipated to address a range of issues pertinent to regional stability and economic integration.
