Science in Sindh Exhibition Aims to Boost STEM Education in Karachi


Karachi: The Deputy Mayor of Karachi, Salman Abdullah Murad, inaugurated the “Science in Sindh” exhibition at the KMC Sports Complex, emphasizing its role in advancing science education. The event, organized by the Sindh Government’s Department of School Education and Literacy, in collaboration with the Thar Education Alliance, aims to modernize and promote science learning in the region.



According to a statement by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the Deputy Mayor expressed his support for students, highlighting the Sindh Government’s commitment to improving the city’s education system and providing quality education. He stated that the focus is on promoting STEM education to enhance scientific learning and creativity among students in Karachi.



The exhibition is part of an academic initiative celebrating “Science in Sindh,” showcasing students’ creative and scientific abilities. Murad praised the participants’ artwork and scientific models, noting their achievements despite limited resources. He stressed the need for refining students’ talents to align with global education standards.



Efforts are underway by the Sindh Government’s Department of School Education and Literacy to make laboratories functional in government schools, ensuring equal scientific education opportunities for both public and private school students. Murad highlighted the importance of scientific research and innovation for national development, encouraging students to utilize the platform to enhance their skills.
