Saudi Naval Delegation Engages with Pakistan Navy-led Task Force in Bahrain to Boost Maritime Security

Islamabad: A high-level delegation from the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF), headed by Commodore Othman Oqab Al Zahrani, visited the Pakistan Navy-led Combined Task Force 150 (CTF 150) in Manama, Bahrain. The meeting, which included a series of discussions on maritime security and operational strategies, aimed to enhance collaboration and address security challenges in the Arabian Sea.

According to Pakistan Navy, the engagement focused significantly on strengthening the ties between RSNF and CTF 150, with both naval forces exploring potential areas for cooperation to ensure safety and stability in the region. The dialogues also highlighted the ongoing efforts of CTF 150 in disrupting illicit activities that threaten regional peace.

During the visit, both Commodore Othman Oqab Al Zahrani and Commodore Asim Sohail Malik, Commander of CTF 150, reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining an excellent relationship between the two forces. They discussed the challenges of contemporary maritime security and reviewed strategies to counter these threats effectively.

A comprehensive briefing was provided to the Saudi delegation on the operations and achievements of CTF 150 under the leadership of the Pakistan Navy. The discussions underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in maintaining robust security in this vital maritime area.

This visit marks the 13th time the Pakistan Navy has commanded CTF 150, reflecting the trust and respect it garners on the international stage. The ongoing command reiterates Pakistan Navy’s commitment to fostering regional peace and stability through increased cooperation with coalition navies.
