Islamabad: The Saudi Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfiq Bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, met with Sardar Muhammad Yousuf, Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, to address the facilities provided to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.

The discussions included the potential expansion of the Road to Mecca project to additional cities in Pakistan. This initiative aims to streamline the pilgrimage process by offering enhanced services and conveniences to pilgrims.

Sardar Muhammad Yousuf emphasized that the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia is deeply rooted in shared faith, historical ties, and cultural connections. He expressed gratitude to King Salman Bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman for their commitment to providing excellent facilities for pilgrims.

The Pakistani minister also brought up the topic of pilgrim registration, a significant concern for many Pakistani pilgrims. Dr. Al-Rabiah assured that these issues would be prioritized to ensure a seamless experience for those undertaking the religious journey.

This meeting underscores the ongoing cooperation between the two nations in facilitating religious pilgrimages, which hold immense significance for both countries.
