Saudi Arabia Commends Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Efforts at Bilateral Defence Forum


Riyadh: At the seventh meeting of the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Bilateral Defence Industrial Forum, Saudi officials praised Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts and its role in promoting regional peace and stability. The forum, which serves as a platform to enhance defence cooperation between the two nations, saw discussions on global and regional security challenges and the implications for their defence forces.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, “The meeting was led by Lt Gen Muhammad Avais Dastgir, Chief of General Staff of the Pakistan Army, and Engineer Talal Bin Abdullah Al Otaibi, Assistant Defence Minister of Saudi Arabia.” The discussions emphasized the need for enhanced defence industrial cooperation in light of rapid technological advancements.



The forum acknowledged Pakistan’s sacrifices in the war against terrorism and its contributions towards stability in the region. It also reviewed the progress of ongoing collaborations and agreed upon new areas of cooperation to strengthen the defence capabilities of both nations.
