Riyadh: Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have announced a new Economic Cooperation Framework aimed at enhancing trade and investment relations, following a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Riyadh. The partnership, rooted in decades of historic ties, seeks to bolster economic collaboration between the two nations.

The framework will focus on strategic projects in sectors such as energy, industry, mining, information technology, tourism, agriculture, and food security. Discussions include a Memorandum of Understanding for an electricity interconnection project and another for energy cooperation, highlighting the countries’ commitments to joint economic ventures.

This initiative is part of broader efforts to deepen fraternal relations and establish a sustainable partnership, aligned with the aspirations of both nations’ leaderships and peoples.
