Saudi Ambassador Meets Pakistani Prime Minister Amid Regional Tensions


Islamabad: Amb. Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliky, the Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Pakistan, met with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. The meeting focused on regional stability and bilateral relations amidst recent tensions in South Asia.



Prime Minister Sharif extended his greetings to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s continued support to Pakistan in challenging times.



The Prime Minister discussed the Pahalgam incident, condemning terrorism and rejecting accusations from India implicating Pakistan without evidence. He advocated for an impartial international investigation to address these claims.



Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the importance of maintaining economic progress achieved over the past fifteen months. He called on Saudi Arabia and other allies to encourage India to reduce regional tensions.



The discussion concluded with the Saudi Ambassador expressing a commitment to work with Pakistan towards regional peace and security.
