Islamabad, November 13, 2021 (PPI-OT):Minister for Aviation Ghulam Sarwar Khan has underlined the need for electoral reforms and subsequent introduction of Electronic Voting Machines to ensure credibility of polls and strengthen the nascent democracy in the country.
Talking to newsmen in Taxila, he stressed that all political parties should be on one page for electoral reforms as it would greatly help flourish democracy in the country. He advised the opposition parties to shun politics of confrontation, sit-ins and long-march as these things would create instability in the country and please the state enemies.
The Minister for Aviation said the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, is taking due care of needy and downtrodden segments of the society. He further said financial assistance amounting to 262 billion rupees is being extended under the Ehsaas Kafalat Programme besides giving targeted subsidy of 130 billion rupees.
