Jammu, September 03, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Sarpanch of a Panchayat Halqa Pangdhour has been sacked for gross misconduct and neglect of duty in Samba district. The Sarpanch Reena Chaudhary has been removed under an order issued by the Secretary of the Block Development Council (BDC) Samba. Seven out of 9 panches of the Panchayat had passed a no-confidence motion, after which action was taken against the Sarpanch.
The woman Sarpanch is accused of gross misconduct and neglect of duty. It was alleged that she took bribes for the development works being done in the Panchayat thereby obstructing the works. Seven panches namely Sanjeev Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Rakesh Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Omkar Singh, Sushma Kumari and Wazir Singh passed a no-confidence motion against the Sarpanch to which the BDC Chairperson, Kamlesh Kumari agreed and the Secretary of the Council issued sacking order of the Sarpanch Reena Chaudhary under Rule 81 J and K Panchayats Rules, 1996.
The BDC Chairperson, Samba has handed over the charge of the office of Sarpanch Panchayat Halqa Pangdhour to Naib Sarpanch Rakesh Singh. However, Sarpanch Reena Chaudhary said that a huge political conspiracy has been hatched against her for which she will knock the door of the court.
