Muzaffarabad: Former Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan has called for international action to address the Kashmir dispute. In a statement, he emphasized that the Kashmiri people remain committed to pursuing their freedom struggle to its logical end.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during a meeting with former AJK Minister Raja Muhammad Yaseen Khan and Hurriyat leader Syed Yousuf Naseem, Sardar Attique urged the global community to implement practical measures for a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue in line with United Nations resolutions. He noted that, despite enduring decades of Indian occupation and severe repression, the Kashmiri people persist in their peaceful efforts for self-determination.
Sardar Attique also pointed out that the violence by Indian forces in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) has intensified, and there is a pressing need for international institutions to address these concerns. Additionally, he called for immediate actions to secure the release of Kashmiri political prisoners who are being held in Indian jails without just cause.
