Islamabad, Mr. Jawad Sohrab, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) for overseas Pakistanis, initiated the launch of an in-house developed OPF web portal designed to expedite the recovery of outstanding dues for overseas Pakistani workers.
According to Press Information Department, This web-based application aims to streamline the disbursement process of workers’ dues, including salary, death and disability compensation, and other allowances. SAPM Jawad Sohrab Malik, during the launch at the Overseas Pakistan Foundation (OPF), stressed the importance of harnessing technology to improve service delivery to the diaspora. The new system, reducing the previous 30-day hard-copy application transfer to mere minutes, enables real-time access to applications and offers transparency on cases, document verification, and payment status. In sync with the Prime Minister’s vision, the platform intends to offer accessible services around the clock. Commending OPF’s efforts, Malik emphasized the significance of such web-based solutions in today’s digital age and appreciated the proactive approach towards assisting overseas Pakistanis.
