Islamabad: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan, engaged in discussions with the Chief Executive Officer of Millat Tractors, focusing on the development of a comprehensive Tractor Policy.

In the meeting, they addressed regulatory duties, export strategies, and the prevailing challenges within the tractor industry. Mr. Khan highlighted that this policy initiative comes under the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and follows the recently formulated Industrial Policy.

Mr. Khan assured that the new Tractor Policy would involve all relevant stakeholders to ensure a well-rounded and effective framework. He emphasized the tractor industry’s vital role in supporting agriculture and farmers in Pakistan.

The SAPM noted that the policy would be crafted in collaboration with stakeholders and adhere to international standards. He pointed out that a sustainable approach to addressing industry challenges requires a long-term policy framework.

Mr. Khan concluded by stating that, under Prime Minister Sharif’s directives, Pakistan is advancing towards a new phase of industrial development.
