Beijing, Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, marked the 10th Anniversary of China’s Principle of Amity, Sincerity, Mutual Benefit, and Inclusiveness in Neighborhood Diplomacy with a poignant address at the International Symposium in Beijing, China. His speech not only underlined the enduring bond between Pakistan and China but also shed light on global issues including the situations in Occupied Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a news release by Senate of Pakistan, Chairman Senate was greeted by notable dignitaries such as H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of China. In his address, Sanjrani offered heartfelt gratitude to the Chinese hosts for their hospitality and acknowledged the profound partnership between Pakistan and China, which he described as unwavering. He also conveyed Pakistan’s pride in the long-standing friendship with China and extended congratulations on China’s 74th Founding Anniversary.
Sanjrani spoke highly of the 3rd Belt and Road Forum (BRF) and specifically highlighted the role of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a catalyst for the socio-economic uplift of Pakistan and its neighbors. He stressed on the importance of BRI in promoting the idea of good neighborliness.
Diving into global issues, Chairman Senate condemned Israeli actions in Gaza and expressed appreciation for China’s support towards the Palestinian cause. He called on the international community to advocate for peace and the realization of a two-state solution for Palestine. Additionally, he underscored the need for an early resolution of the Kashmir dispute in line with the UN Security Council resolutions.
Praising President Xi Jinping’s visionary leadership, Sanjrani spoke of China’s remarkable progress and its steadfast commitment to principles like prosperity, democracy, and harmony. Referring to a decade-old transformative path for international relations introduced by President Xi Jinping, he lauded the White Paper presented during the symposium, emphasizing its new approach that promotes economic globalization and shared human values.
He emphasized the values inherent in the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence and the Non-Aligned Movement and urged global cooperation in resolving humanitarian crises. Ending on a hopeful note, Sanjrani quoted President Xi, “The greatest ideal is the world’s shared values,” expressing optimism for a collaborative and harmonious future.
