Sanjrani Advocates for Dialogue and Unity at Beijing Symposium on President Xi’s Neighbourhood Diplomacy Philosophy

Beijing, In a recently convened international symposium commemorating the 10th anniversary of President Xi’s neighbourhood diplomacy philosophy rooted in amity, sincerity, mutual benefit, and inclusiveness, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, highlighted the pressing global challenges and underscored the need for dialogue-based conflict resolution. Sanjrani hailed President Xi’s international initiatives as solutions for peace and security, emphasizing their alignment with the foundational ideals of Pakistan’s foreign policy.

According to a news release by Press Information Department (PID), the Senate of Pakistan detailing Sanjrani’s speech, the Chairman began by expressing gratitude to the Government of China for its invitation and commended China’s approach towards fostering international relations. He acknowledged the critical juncture at which the symposium was being held, where the world faces geopolitical tensions, erosion of multilateral principles, the rise of non-traditional threats, economic disparities, climate change repercussions, and grave human rights violations. Drawing attention to the crisis in Gaza, Sanjrani thanked Director Wang Yi for China’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. He also shed light on the Kashmir issue, where people await the realization of their right to self-determination.

Sanjrani celebrated President Xi’s initiatives such as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as transformative platforms for global development and security. Highlighting Pakistan’s close alignment with China’s Global Development Initiative, Sanjrani underscored the mutual objectives of both nations towards sustainable development. He remarked that President Xi’s principles mirror the vision of Pakistan’s founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, emphasizing peace and harmonious relations.

Concluding his address, the Chairman stressed the historical contribution of Asian nations to global peace and development. Emphasizing regional solutions to regional issues, he invoked President Xi’s words, “The greatest ideal is the world’s shared values.” Sanjrani expressed hope that the symposium would promote dialogue and understanding, paving the way for a brighter and harmonious future.
