Islamabad, March 23, 2023 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Capital Police Sangjani police team arrested a wanted member of a fraudster gang and recovered looted cash, laptop, mobile phone and valuables from his possession, a police public relations officer said.
He said that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan had ordered all zonal DPOs to curb the crime in their respective areas and arrest those involved in criminal activities and looting innocent people.
Following these directions, Sangjani police team utilized all available resources and nabbed a wanted member of a fraudster gang and recovered looted cash, laptop, mobile phone and valuables from his possession. The accused was identified as Saqib.
The accused used OLX platform in order to fraud the innocent citizens. Cases were already registered against the nabbed used and further investigation is underway.
CPO/DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari has appreciated the performance of the police team and said that Islamabad police are making all out efforts for the safety and security of citizens. He has also requested the citizens to inform police in case of any such suspicious activity in their areas.
