Sahiwal: In a significant move towards urban development, Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Pir Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, inaugurated a road carpeting project at Khokha Bazaar in Sahiwal. Amidst the inauguration, Shah emphasized Pakistan’s ability to protect its sovereignty and urged Indian leaders to act sensibly to maintain regional stability.

The project, costing 10 million rupees, is part of the “Saraken Bahal, Punjab Khushhal” initiative led by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, aiming to improve infrastructure across the province.

During his address, Shah reiterated the Pakistan Muslim League (N) government’s focus on essential civic amenities and promised to seek additional funding for ongoing development. He acknowledged the business community’s support in the anti-encroachment efforts and announced a substantial investment of 120 million rupees for bazaar modernization.

The inauguration was attended by MPA Malik Qasim Nadeem, Sahiwal Press Club President Muhammad Naeem Sheikh, and numerous PML-N members and local shopkeepers.

MPA Malik Qasim Nadeem highlighted Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s active role in overseeing development in Sahiwal, with plans for a comprehensive package to enhance the city’s infrastructure and services.

The ceremony concluded with prayers for the well-being of Muslims in Gaza and the liberation of Al-Quds.
