Saghar writes letter to Turkish President Erdogan

Islamabad, September 21, 2023 (PPI-OT): The Convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, has written a letter to the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and thanked him for raising voice for the voiceless people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the UN General Assembly.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar in the letter wrote, “On behalf of the subjugated but determined people of Indian occupied Kashmir, I wish to express my sincere gratitude to your Excellency for pleading and presenting the Kashmir case vociferously during your landmark speech to the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).”

He wrote to the Turkish President that the people of Kashmir owe a debt of gratitude to you for highlighting the plight of Kashmiri people at the global forum and sensitizing world leaders about an early and amicable settlement of the lingering Kashmir conflict that happens to be the cause and consequence of unrest and unabated rights violations in the region.

Mehmood Ahmed Saghar maintained that the Turkish nation has stood with the Kashmiris through thick and thin and has always supported their legitimate struggle, but at this very crucial time, the role and responsibilities of the Muslim countries, especially Türkiye, have doubled in the wake of the Modi-led fascist regime’s illegal annexation of occupied Kashmir.

“While the world is remorselessly watching the dire humanitarian situation in the region, we are optimistic that your highness will continue to raise your voice for the voiceless Kashmiris who are reeling under the yoke of Indian imperialism,” the APHC-AJK Convener further wrote.
