Safe City Initiative Successfully Reunites Abandoned Children with Father in Lahore

Lahore, In a heartwarming turn of events, Lahore’s Safe City project facilitated the reunion of four abandoned children with their father, after they were found alone in Greater Iqbal Park.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the Safe City Lost and Found Centre swiftly responded upon receiving reports of the abandoned children, initiating a search that led to their father reaching out for assistance. The verification process involved the children’s father and the relevant police authorities, ensuring the children’s safe return to their family. The police had initially placed the children under the care of the Child Protection Bureau following their discovery. The children’s mother, who had traveled to Lahore from Sialkot, is currently missing after reportedly leaving the children unattended; her husband claims she has not returned home and suggested she might be under some distress. Efforts are underway to locate her through Safe City’s surveillance technology. This incident underscores Safe City’s broader impact, having reunited over 6,000 individuals with their families to date.
