Sacrifices will bring freedom goal closer: Hurriyat leaders

Srinagar, June 21, 2021 (PPI-OT): In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, he All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other Hurriyat leaders and organizations have denounced the killing of three Kashmiri youth by Indian troops in Sopore saying that unwarranted killings will bring the destination of freedom closer.

APHC, Incharge Public Relations, Bilal Sidiqi in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed his deep concern over the fresh spell of custodial killings in the nook and corner of the territory. He strongly condemned the gruesome killings of three more youngsters in a fake encounter carried out at Sopore by the Indian occupation forces. Denouncing the use of brute force against the freedom loving people of Kashmir, the APHC leader said that the occupation forces shielded by the draconian laws kill the subjugated people of Kashmir with impunity. These ruthless forces wearing different tags are engaged in a cut-throat competition to kill more and get more promotions plus the plundered wealth during the nocturnal military operations, maintained the statement.

The APHC leader urged the United Nations Council for Human Rights, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and International Red Cross to take serious cognizance of the prevailing gruesome situation wherein people are being killed mercilessly for the crime which they have not committed and the killers are being rewarded for the heinous crimes. He urged the world community and the UN Security Council to address the most dangerous Kashmir issue in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions and the wishes and aspirations of the people of Kashmir and pressurize India to stop genocide and gross violation of human rights at the hands of Indian occupation forces.

Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed grave concern over the killing spree, arbitrary arrests and persecution of civilians by Indian troops in different areas of the disputed territory.

The DFP while referring to the growing incidents of violence said that the trigger-happy troops have wreaked havoc in the region by killing innocent youth during cordon and search operations. Terming rampant killings as a deliberate attempt to instill a sense of fear among Kashmiris, the spokesman lamented that the genocide of the Kashmiris continued unabated. He urged the international community particularly the United Nations and the UN Human Rights Council to take serious notice of the Indian belligerence and naked aggression against Kashmiris.

Jammu and Kashmir Islamic Political Party Chairman Mohammad Yousuf Naqash while lashing out at India for its oppressive tactics in occupied Kashmir said that the subjugated Kashmiri people were paying the heavy price of the unwanted occupation. “Human sufferings in occupied Kashmir are increasing with every passing day,” he said and added that all inhuman tactics were being carried out in a systematic way to force people into submission. Naqash paid tributes to the martyred youth and said that these innumerable and huge sacrifices would soon bear the fruits in the shape of freedom from forced occupation and oppression of India.

Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League Acting Chairman Abdul Ahad Parra in a statement said that India has made lives of Kashmiri people a hell. He also condemned forces’ raid on party activist Peerzada Ataullah and torture on him. Islami Tanzeem-e-Azadi Chairman Abdul Samad Inqilabi said that India was using killing of youth and rape of women as a war weapon.

Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement while condemning the killing said that India cannot extinguish the flames of freedom in the hearts of Kashmiris through massacres. JKMM Secretary Information Shabbir Ahmad in a statement issued in Srinagar urged the international human rights organizations to take serious notice of the innocent killings in the occupied territory.

Jammu and Kashmir Freedom Front (KFF) in a statement said the way reign of terror has been unleashed in Kashmir strongly indicates that India by using its forces has waged a war against the innocent and unarmed people of Kashmir. KFF appealed to the international human rights organisations including the UN Human Rights Council, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and International Committee of Red Cross to take cognizance of the plight of the Kashmiris including detainees and force India to stop brutalities in the territory.

Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Chairman Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in a statement in Muzaffarabad said that India would be held accountable for every drop of blood of Kashmiri people. He said that dispute over Jammu and Kashmir can only be resolved through peaceful means of right to self-determination.
