Sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs will never be forgotten: Basit Sultan 

Islamabad, November 07, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Chairman of Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir, Basit Ahmad Sultan, has said that the sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri martyrs will never be forgotten. Basit Ahmad Sultan addressing a seminar in connection with Jammu Martyrs’ Day at National Press Club in Islamabad said Pakistan is on the back of Kashmiris and it will not leave the Kashmiri brothers alone.

He said that the Indian troops were killing innocent Kashmiris in the occupied territory on a daily basis and the world community and international human rights organizations should take notice of it. He also called for amicable settlement of the Kashmir dispute so that durable peace could be established in the region.

Former Ameer of AJK Jamaat-e-Islami Abdul Rasheed Turabi addressing the seminar said the sacrifices of the Jammu martyrs are a beacon of light for the people of Kashmir. The mission of the martyrs continues today with full determination and courage, he added.

He urged the United Nations and human rights organizations to take a strict notice of the violation of human rights by Indian troops in the occupied territory. He said Indian fascist Prime Minister Narendra Modi is using all nefarious tactics to suppress the ongoing Kashmir freedom movement but will ever succeed in his nefarious designs.

Ghazali Habib, Chairperson of Friends of Kashmir International, addressing the seminar said the martyrs of Jammu sacrificed their lives for a great cause, adding that the day was not away when the people of Kashmir would get rid of India’s slavery.

Senior journalist Haji Nawaz Raza on the occasion said that the Kashmir Committee should be a policy-making body so that the policy regarding Kashmir is decided and implemented and the sacrifices of Kashmiris should not be forgotten.

Hurriyat leader Abdul Hameed Lone addressing the seminar questioned why the United Nations has a double standard on Kashmir? Does the international community not see the Indian atrocities in Kashmir? He said and added that the world community must play its role, otherwise peace could be established in South Asia.
