Rwandan Senate delegation meets Caretaker Prime Minister of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD, A delegation from the Senate of the Republic of Rwanda, led by its President, Dr. Kalinda Francois-Xavier, met with the Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar in Islamabad. The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the current relations between Pakistan and Rwanda, highlighting the areas of trade, investment, IT, agriculture, and personal exchanges as focal points for future collaboration. He also extended an invitation for Rwanda to open a diplomatic mission in Islamabad, noting that Pakistan had established its mission in Kigali in 2021. The visit of the Rwandan Senate’s President, the first of its kind, was met with appreciation, and the Prime Minister also commended Rwanda’s recent economic advancements.

According to Press Information Department, Dr. Kalinda Francois-Xavier expressed gratitude for the hospitality his delegation received. During their stay, the Rwandan Senate delegation held constructive meetings with local parliamentarians, government representatives, and members of the private sector. Their visit to Pakistan was facilitated upon an invitation from the Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan.
