Islamabad, The Embassy of Russia in Pakistan has taken a stand against a recent article titled “Lenin’s Legacy” published in the Dawn Newspaper on January 17, 2024. The article, which discusses the Ukrainian crisis, has drawn criticism from the Russian diplomatic mission for its portrayal of Russian policies and leadership.

According to Embassy of The Russian Federation, the article was critiqued for overlooking the fundamental causes of the Ukrainian crisis and for making what the Embassy considers misplaced and insulting remarks about “Russian chauvinism” and the leadership of the Russian Federation. The Embassy has expressed its concern that the article does not accurately reflect Russia’s perspective on the situation.

In response to the publication, the Russian Ambassador has submitted comments to the editorial office of Dawn Newspaper. These comments are intended for publication to present Russia’s viewpoint on the matter to the Pakistani audience.
