Islamabad: In a significant move to boost agricultural productivity, Russia has expressed its intention to modernize Pakistan’s fertilizer plants and provide training programs for local farmers. This initiative was revealed during a meeting between Aleksei Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, and Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions between Gruzdev and Khan centered on bolstering economic ties and expanding trade opportunities. The Russian Deputy Minister expressed Russia’s eagerness to increase exports to Pakistan, particularly in agricultural and railway machinery as well as metal products.
Minister Jam Kamal Khan underscored the substantial potential for growth in trade relations between the two nations. The dialogue also touched upon the upcoming 5th Joint Working Group meeting, which is set to convene on the 26th of this month in Islamabad, promising further collaboration between the two countries.
