Islamabad: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS)-driven ideology poses a significant threat to Muslims in India and Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to Kashmir Media Service, anti-Muslim sentiments have surged in India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as Hindutva activists systematically target Muslims across the country. The report indicates that persecution of Muslims has sharply increased since the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) came to power in India. The BJP and RSS are said to be openly undermining the religious sentiments of Muslims throughout India and IIOJK. The RSS-backed BJP regime promotes Hindu supremacy, with insults directed at revered Muslim symbols and figures becoming commonplace in Modi’s India.
Recent blasphemous remarks made by Hindu priest Narasinghanand have highlighted the growing intolerance in India, prompting the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) to call for protests following prayers in response to his comments. The report expresses concern that Muslims are facing discrimination in all aspects of life under Modi’s regime, as Hindutva leaders, with state backing, openly incite violence against Muslims.
Additionally, the report notes that calls for mass killings and armed aggression against Muslims are becoming increasingly frequent in India. The extremist agenda of the Modi regime is described as posing a serious threat to peace in South Asia. It states that Modi’s government infringes on the fundamental rights of Muslims in India and IIOJK, urging the international community to take urgent action to safeguard the rights of Muslims in India and the occupied territory.
