Jammu, October 01, 2021 (PPI-OT):As the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing for next general elections in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the visit of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief, Mohan Bhagwat, who arrived in the territory on a four-day visit, seems to come as a helping hand for the ruling party of India for the poll preparations.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mohan Bhagwat arrived in the territory on a four-day visit on Thursday. The visit of the RSS chief holds significance as it was his first visit to IIOJK post abrogation of Article 370 and 35A.
The BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit has already begun poll preparations, as the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Independence Day speech on August 15 had promised early elections in the occupied territory.
BJP high command had already asked the Kashmir unit of the party to start preparations for elections, while hinting at the possibility of elections being held in the months of March or April next year.
Although Sangh claims that Mohan Bhagwat’s stay at Jammu remains an organizational matter only and has nothing to do with any political activities, but experts believe that Baghwat will participate in many programmes and he is scheduled to meet intellectual think tanks and several politicians from BJP to amp up the political activities in the occupied territory.
RSS’s inclination towards right-wing BJP is an open secret and the Sangh chief definitely will convey his message to its large cadre for making the atmosphere for BJP candidates in the upcoming elections more cozy.
