Rotary Club of Pakistan Corporate Chartered to Spearhead Smart Village Project and Polio Eradication

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori has highlighted the proactive measures taken by the Rotarians in addressing climate change challenges, specifically pointing out their efforts in building smart villages for flood victims and initiating significant environmental projects. He shared these insights during the charter reception of the Rotary Club of Pakistan Corporate held at the Governor’s House. The event marked a significant milestone with the presence of notable figures such as Rotary International President-designate Mario Cesar Martins de Camargo, RI Director Mohammad Faiz Kidwai, and other senior leaders from the Rotary community and corporate sector.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori commended the Rotary’s longstanding humanitarian efforts in Pakistan, including their dedication to eradicating polio and the launch of the Smart Village project. He welcomed the newly chartered Rotary Club of Pakistan Corporate, which comprises members from various parts of Pakistan and abroad, making it the first of its kind named after the country. The club represents a robust collaboration among corporate leaders aimed at tackling pressing national issues through projects in health, water sanitation, and youth leadership development.

The reception also served as a platform for Rotary leaders to reaffirm their commitment to community service, with Charter President Shehbaz Zaheer and RI Director Mohammad Faiz Kidwai emphasizing the importance of solidarity and a collective vision in making a substantial impact. The newly established club vows to promote professional networking, corporate social responsibility, and sustainable development to ensure a peaceful and prosperous future for the community.
