Islamabad: Romina Khurshid Alam, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, has emphasized the crucial role of women in driving Pakistan’s development, particularly through enhanced gender equality and involvement in the green economy.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, while speaking at the “Gender Empowerment and Green Economy” event in Islamabad this morning, Alam detailed the government’s efforts to integrate women into the political system through gender quotas and to improve their access to education and professional training. These steps, she noted, are aimed at fostering a new generation of female leaders in sustainable development.
Alam also encouraged women to actively engage in the country’s evolving green economies, highlighting this sector as a pivotal area where women’s contributions can lead to substantial national progress.
