Islamabad, Romina Khurshid Alam, the Prime Minister’s Coordinator on Climate Change, has called for enhanced coordination and a collective approach among federal and regional governments to address global warming and mitigate heat wave impacts in Pakistan.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Alam chaired the inaugural meeting of the Task Force on Global Warming and Heat Waves, emphasizing the urgency of the issue. She highlighted the need for immediate, robust actions to be taken on a war footing to tackle these environmental challenges effectively.
Alam also advocated for improved public awareness and education on disaster management to better prepare communities to face and respond to climatic adversities.
