Rizwan Urges Global Attention on Kashmir Dispute

Washington: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, has made a renewed call for the international community to focus on resolving the longstanding Jammu and Kashmir dispute. Speaking in interviews with Fox News and PBS, Ambassador Sheikh highlighted the necessity of addressing the issue in line with United Nations Security Council Resolutions.

In his discussions with the American media outlets, Ambassador Sheikh underscored the importance of a peaceful resolution to the conflict, which has been a point of contention between India and Pakistan for decades. He reiterated Pakistan’s stance that the country reserves the right to respond to what it considers Indian aggression at a time and manner of its choosing.

The Ambassador emphasized that Pakistan seeks peace, but it is a peace that must come with dignity. His comments come amid ongoing tensions in the region, with calls for diplomatic engagement and international attention to bring about a sustainable resolution.

This appeal aligns with Pakistan’s longstanding policy on the Kashmir issue, which remains a pivotal aspect of its foreign relations, particularly with India. Ambassador Sheikh’s remarks are part of broader diplomatic efforts to engage global powers in facilitating a resolution to the conflict.
