Washington DC: Rizwan Saeed Sheikh has officially commenced his role as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, initiating a comprehensive engagement with key personnel within the embassy and consulate staff across the country.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador Sheikh began his tenure by holding extensive discussions with the heads and officers of various departments within the embassy. He also connected via Zoom with the leaders of Pakistan’s four consulates in the United States, where he was briefed on numerous issues. During his interactions, Sheikh emphasized the historical significance and ongoing importance of Pakistan-US relations, particularly focusing on enhancing economic cooperation and bolstering public relations. He expressed a strong commitment to leveraging the Pakistani community in the U.S., which he described as a critical and valuable asset that solidifies the bilateral relationship through its hard work and unique identity.
