Glasgow, September 01, 2023 (PPI-OT): People assembled in Glasgow city of Scotland to pay homage to the veteran Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani, on his 2nd martyrdom anniversary.
Several people gathered in Glasgow holding placards with pictures of Syed Ali Gilani and slogans reading “Indian Army quit Kashmir”, “End Indian occupation of Kashmir”, “Wake up, wake up – UN wake up”.
Addressing the participants, President of Tehreek-e-Kashmir Scotland, Hanif Raja, said that Syed Ali Gilani dedicated his entire life to the ongoing struggle for Jammu and Kashmir’s freedom from Indian illegal occupation. He said that the veteran leader invited the Indian wrath for challenging its illegal rule in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Syed Ali Gilani died in the Indian captivity but never compromised his stance on the Kashmir dispute.
He said that the Indian authorities were even afraid of Syed Ali Gilani’s dead body as they snatched it away from his family members and denied them to perform a proper funeral of the veteran leader.
