Rescue Operation Underway for Stranded Tourists and Residents in Flood-Affected Kumrat, Upper Dir


Kumrat Valley: A major rescue operation is currently in progress in Kumrat and Upper Dir, areas severely impacted by recent flash floods. The floods have led to the closure of key land routes, leaving many tourists and local residents stranded. Efforts are being made to evacuate those affected to safer locations and provide necessary medical assistance.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Rescue 1122 is actively involved in transporting stranded individuals to relief camps. These camps are equipped to provide medical treatment to those who are injured or have fallen ill due to the sudden floods. In addition, the provincial government has organized coaster vans to facilitate the return of tourists to their home areas, ensuring their safe and prompt evacuation from the disaster-stricken region.
