Republic Day rightly characterised as dark period of India: Rehmani

Islamabad, January 26, 2023 (PPI-OT):Former convener of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani has said that the so-called Republic Day of India is rightly characterised as the dark period of India and the people of Kashmir are castigating it as Black Day. Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement issued in Islamabad said first India committed aggression, sent invading military forces to Jammu and Kashmir in 1947 and then violated the United Nations Security Council resolutions on Kashmir.

He deplored that in 2019 the Modi-led fascist Indian government repealed Kashmir’s special status and imposed military siege in the territory to promote its settler policy in IIOJK. India changed the domicile law to open opportunities for the Indian Hindutva population in the occupied territory, he added. Farooq Rehmani lamented that even Indian Muslims had been made slaves in their own land and the Modi-made citizenship laws had termed them as outsiders, adding they have been asked to live as Hindus or leave their lands to go to Pakistan. He said that Gujrat was a glaring example of Muslims’ massacre and the BBC documentary film on it had portrayed the grim picture of slaughtered Muslims well.

He also condemned Modi’s ban on the Gujarati film and urged the UN to declare the Modi establishment as the most dangerous terrorist state on earth. He concluded with the remarks that the people of Kashmir would fight to the end to liberate the occupied territory from the Indian clutches.
