Islamabad, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, has expressed serious concerns over the quality of food provided to pilgrims in Makkah, demanding immediate improvements from the Hajj mission.
According to Press Information Department, Minister Hussain reacted to media reports highlighting food safety violations by catering services. He praised the Pakistan Hajj mission’s monitoring team for identifying these breaches during unexpected inspections. Hussain emphasized the necessity for constant surveillance of food preparation processes and strict oversight of kitchen operations to guarantee that pilgrims receive hygienic meals without any interruptions. He also called for rigorous checks on the quality and quantity of food delivered to the pilgrims’ accommodations and hotels.
